Minimize Windows Live Messenger to the Traybar in Windows7

OK, I’m still getting used to the new taskbar in Windows 7. One of the things that has been bugging me is that Live Messenger no longer minimizes to the traybar. By default in Win7 is stays in the taskbar.

Fortunately, you can force it to minimize to the traybar again! Follow these steps.

1.) Exit it out of Windows Live Messenger

2.) Navigate to WLM’s shortcut in the Start Menu. Right click on it, and select ‘Properties’

3.) Select the ‘Compatibility’ tab, and select to run it in ‘Windows Vista (Service Pack 2)’ compatibility mode.

4.) Restart WLM, and you should now be able to send it to the traybar. YAY!!!!
